Stand at the Mapperly Christmas Market from previous years

Shop Local, Shop Small, Shop Notts this Christmas

Mapperley Makers and Vintage Christmas Market

5 November, 11am – 4pm, St Jude’s Church Hall, 405 Woodbrough Road, Mapperley, NG3 5HE

The Mapperley Makers and Vintage Market has over 40 stalls of local designer/makers, artists and vintage sellers. It’s the ideal place to find really special Christmas gifts, cards and decorations, as everything is created and/or made locally. There’s a wide variety of stalls, with gift ideas for all ages and tastes, and with the bonus that comes with shopping with small, local independent businesses, you’re supporting the local economy and avoiding the environmental impact of buying, mass produced items imported from overseas.

The stallholders are carefully chosen to ensure shoppers have a wide choice of high quality, beautifully made items. There’s everything from handmade Scottish Tweed clothing and accessories (made in Lambley!) to hand printed contemporary prints to handmade jewellery and of course true vintage homeware and accessories. The perfect place to find special gifts for friends, family and loved ones.

Maria Narducci, organiser of the Mapperley Makers and Vintage Market describes organising the market:

“We had over three applicants for each stall and it’s always a joy to work through and select stallholders that will provide a great range for shoppers at the market. I’m a vintage seller, but really appreciate the beauty and quality of items made by our local talented artists and designer/makers, from the immaculate hand stitching to delicate work that goes into creating a piece of jewellery. I ensure 80% of stalls are filled by Notts based small, independent businesses as I strongly believe in growing the local economy and avoiding the environmental impact of buying mass produced items, shipped in from overseas, for about the same price.”

The Mapperley Makers and Vintage Market takes place on 5 November at St Jude’s Church Hall in Mapperley. 40 great stalls of local designer/makers, artists and vintage sellers, plus a florist and the Betty Rose Bakes Pop-Up Café and harpist to entertain shoppers.
