Shop ‘til You Drop with NCT’s New Bus Service to Victoria Retail Park

Nottingham City Transport is launching a new bus service to Victoria Retail Park, providing direct access to popular retailers on the site from the Carlton and Gedling areas.

Lilac Line 24 will provide a regular Monday to Saturday daytime service, running every 30 minutes, from Monday 29th January.

Buses will operate from the City Centre along Carlton Road and Carlton Hill to Carlton Square, before continuing along Burton Road and Colwick Loop Road to Victoria Retail Park.

The new service is part of a package of changes being introduced on Lilac Line from this weekend, which includes the core Monday to Saturday daytime frequency between the City Centre and Carlton Square increasing to every 5 minutes.

Anthony Carver-Smith, NCT’s Head of Marketing and Projects said,

“Victoria Retail Park is a popular destination for shoppers and we’re excited to introduce a brand new direct link from the Carlton and Gedling areas, making it easier for people to reach their local B&M, Morrisons, Marks & Spencer, Boots and TK Maxx stores”.

He continued, “Bus use in Nottingham has recovered well post pandemic and the increased frequency on our Lilac Line along Carlton Road will provide additional capacity for customers on this popular route”.

The existing Red Line 50, which will soon see the introduction of zero emission electric buses, will continue to operate between the City Centre and Victoria Retail Park along Daleside Road and Colwick Industrial Estate.

NCT will be revising the timetables of its Brown Line 15, 16, 17 and Pink 28 from Sunday 28th January to improve reliability.

Timetables for all NCT services are available through the free NCTX Buses app and online at www.nctx.co.uk/services
