Wollaton Hall & Deer Park has been transformed into a unique, festive outdoor light installation. The whole Christmas at Wollaton attraction is spacious and in the fresh air providing a secure festive environment for all the family.
Christmas at Wollaton is fully compliant with all the latest Government and industry COVID-19 guidelines, to ensure the safety of all visitors. Measures include staggered time slots and limited numbers and careful planning of the route to manage visitor flow as well as contactless payments and e-ticket access.
The whole attraction is in the fresh air and provides a safe festive environment for all the family. Nottingham’s festive lights extravaganza is enjoying brilliant feedback.
The organisers are delighted with the visitors’ reviews. Both new and old guests alike have been raving about the multi-sensory experience of light and sound which covers a 2km (1¼ mile) walkway, specially designed to fit into the natural landscape of the Formal Gardens.
Visitors have attended from across the city and region all of whom have been delighted. One family commented, “It was a magical experience for our family. The lights are amazing, every part of the trail was stunning and unique. The music around the trail is beautiful and goes with each section. All the staff on the trail are very welcoming.”
Another commented, “The place is wonderful we all had a fantastic time. We thought it was great last year but his year it’s even better than ever.”
And another visitor said, “As you approach the Wollaton gates you are welcomed by the twinkle stars that shine above you within the festive forest, and soft soothing music that takes you along a winter wonderland path surrounded by animals hiding in the bushes that surround the Hall. … I encourage you all to experience Christmas at Wollaton. You really do need to witness it in person to take in its full beauty.”

After a sell-out inaugural event for 2020 there are lots of brand-new elements for 2021 for visitors to enjoy.
Organisers commented “The response from everyone who has already attended has been amazing, coming back for a second year we wanted to ensure Christmas at Wollaton continues to delight and amaze and it is certainly achieving that. Many of our slots are booking fast so we want to encourage everyone to book early to avoid disappointment.”
This year Christmas at Wollaton runs until 9th January 2022.
To ensure safety for all visitors Christmas at Wollaton has pre-bookable slots staggered every 30 minutes for the event.
