CREATIVE CHANGE MAKERS 2023 AN EVENT FOCUSED ON THE USE OF CREATIVITY TO SOLVE SOCIAL + ENVIRONMENTAL CHALLENGES

Creative Conscience, a charity that empowers and trains creative thinkers to apply their talents to socially valuable projects, will be holding the next Creative Change Makers LIVE event in Nottingham, on Friday 16th June 2023 as a charity fund raiser.

A full one-day pilot is being hosted by our partners, Confetti Media Group, at its world-class music and events complex, Metronome. Creative Change Makers will connect creative minds in industry and education who share a vision to build a fairer, healthier, more sustainable and regenerative world.

The day will focus on different disciplines within the creative sectors and will create impact through empowerment and collaboration by:

  • Sharing examples of projects and creativity that have and can build positive change
  • Inspiring behavioural change for individuals, businesses and education
  • Providing practical tools and solutions

“We’re putting creativity centre stage to address the climate emergency and pressing social issues at our Creative Change Makers event. Creative thinking is vital for us to solve global challenges and we’ve developed this to empower a community of creative practitioners, educators, students and graduates, to build action by applying their talents to socially valuable projects.

“We live in a very troubled world and we need to start using design and creative thinking to focus on making solutions. Creative Change Makers brings together some great minds from both industry, communities and education for a meaningful conversation about how to focus creativity on solving the world’s most pressing problems.”

Chrissy Levett, Founder and CEO, Creative Conscience.

“I think we can all agree that creativity is a force for change, driving progress and innovation. It’s the process of creating something new by making creative connections – something we’re looking forward to doing as part of the Creative Change Makers LIVE event.

“Creativity has been essential to humanity’s survival and is still just as important in today’s global economy and tomorrow’s challenges, where innovation and creativity are the keys to success – that’s why it’s fitting Confetti has been chosen to host this prestigious event. For almost 30 years, we’ve been delivering leading edge creative industry education from our base in Nottingham, with a new campus set to open its doors in Whitechapel, London this September.

“Working with local, national and international partners, we create hundreds of ‘Do it for Real’ opportunities for the next generation of creative talent to work alongside professionals at key events, make connections with leading industry figures, and support key initiatives such as Nottingham Poetry Festival, Hockley Hustle, Notts TV, and the Young Creative Awards. Technology has evolved with creativity and vice versa – that’s why we’ve developed the state-of-the-art facilities guests will experience as part of the two-day event, and we can’t wait to welcome them through our doors.”

Craig Chettle MBE, Founder and Chief Executive, Confetti Media Group.
