Following a string of successful new openings across the UK including Gateshead, Romford, Oxford and Westfield Stratford, Popeyes® UK has announced the opening date of its first Midlands restaurant in the heart of Nottingham city centre.
From the brand that ‘broke the internet’ with the release of its iconic Chicken Sandwich, the US fried chicken giant has revealed it will officially open its doors in Nottingham on Upper Parliament Street from 11am on Saturday 1st October – with queues expected to start early following previous restaurant openings which saw queues for the famed Chicken Sandwich form from 5am.
To celebrate the Nottingham launch, Popeyes® UK will be pulling out all the stops to showcase its Southern hospitality, including rolling out the orange carpet, distributing limited-edition merchandise and hosting a live band to bring the sound of New Orleans to the city with an exciting performance from the Brass Funkeys. What’s more, the first three customers through the door will win free Chicken Sandwiches for a whole year* – the ultimate prize for every fried chicken fan, with the first fifty customers also being rewarded with a free Chicken Sandwich and official Popeyes® UK merchandise.
Chicken fans will finally be able to get their hands on the mouth-watering menu – including Popeyes’® legendary Chicken Sandwich, original Southern biscuits and gravy and its 12-hour marinated chicken – giving hungry visitors the chance to experience Popeyes® UK’s world-famous ‘shatter crunch’ for themselves.
The much-loved American brand, which has recently launched five UK sites, is on a mission to open hundreds of restaurants across the UK, including drive throughs. The brand recently announced its imminent East Midlands expansion with locations in Derby and Leicester.

Popeyes® UK will open on 8-10 Upper Parliament Street in Nottingham from 11am on Saturday 1st October 2022 and will seat up to 100 people.
