Tourism Board Encourages People to Beat January Blues by Booking a Mini-Break

In a bid to help boost the local tourism, hospitality and wider visitor economy sector this January, Visit Nottinghamshire are encouraging people to book their stay and get away to Nottinghamshire and helping people beat those January blues.

For many, the start of the year can feel a little gloomy after all the excitement of Christmas and the New Year fall into memory. However, a mini-break to Nottingham and Nottinghamshire might be just the tonic for the January blues. Those looking to book a Nottinghamshire mini-break won’t be alone either, with reports suggesting January is the busiest month of the year for holiday bookings.

Visit Nottinghamshire are encouraging people to take another look at Nottingham and Nottinghamshire’s great mini-break potential as part of their January promotional campaign. With standout accommodation options, cuisine from all four corners of the globe and the chance to walk in the footsteps of the legendary Robin Hood, Nottinghamshire has it all.

Kinga Kapias, Marketing and Communications Manager for Visit Nottinghamshire said:

“Historically it’s certainly true that January can be a little quieter for the hospitality and tourism sector.

“That’s why we’re encouraging people to book their stay in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire this January and get away. Whether you’re looking for a little pick me up spa weekend to ease the January blues, or you’re looking to book something to look forward to, we’re encouraging visitors to consider Nottingham and Nottinghamshire as their choice. It’s also a great way to support local independent businesses and jobs.”

The tourism board are also appealing to savvy shoppers who love a deal, or who are looking to get away on a smaller budget. Kinga continued:

“We know that this time of year can be a little tight financially for those looking to get away on a smaller budget. January can be a great time to book if you’re looking to get away for less. There are lots of deals to be had, and we’ve also rounded up lots of great days out for free/on a budget over on the Visit Nottinghamshire website so we’d encourage everyone to have a look.”
